EHR User Interaction Designer

Job Purpose:
To design the end user experience in our Electronic Health Record software with a goal of helping medical providers and clinicians improve their operations through intuitive and effective patient record and practice management tools.
Responsibilities:
· Collaborate with physician advisors, marketing and customer divisions to determine requirements for future design projects
· Design end user interaction with the software by researching the user experience and determining how physician practice workflows can be best accommodated
· Clearly communicate user-interface and functional designs with software developers
· Review completed enhancements to ensure product meets specifications
· Schedule and lead internal training sessions on new functionality
· Assist with product usability testing
· Complete other duties assigned by supervisor
Qualifications:
· Ability to reach creative, logical, and sensible solutions for end user interaction with the software
· Ability to make complex ideas seem simple to end users
· Effective written and verbal communication skills
· High self-motivation and attention to detail
· Professional demeanor and ability to work well in a team environment
· Ability to learn complex software applications quickly
· Experience with the health care industry, particularly in a physician practice setting
· Medical software, usability, or human factors experience is a plus
Education/Experience:
· Four year college degree
· Experience with the healthcare industry, particularly in a physician practice setting
· Medical software, usability, or human factors experience is a plus
