The Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) and Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) continue to clarify the HITECH portion of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), with implementation plans published earlier this week. In response to these timeline announcements, the Certification Commission for Healthcare Information Technology (CCHIT®) published the 2009-2010 certification criteria and announced a delay to the start of the 2009 CCHIT certification cycle.
