Citizens Memorial Healthcare Featured in HealthData Management

In their May 2009 issue, HealthData Management magazine highlights LSS customer Citizens Memorial Healthcare (Bolivar, CO) in their cover story "Piecing Together Medication Administration."
As the story states, Citizens used tax-exempt bonds and grants to fund an ambitious clinical automation effort that streamlines all aspects of medication administration. With Project InfoCare, Citizens' name for their EHR, "we wanted to promote to the community that we provide seamless care across the continuum," explained CIO Denni McColm. That continuum extends to their physician practice community using the Medical and Practice Management (MPM) Suite by LSS Data Systems and MEDITECH.
The article notes that Citizens is one of the smallest hospitals to earn Stage 6 EMR designation from HIMSS Analytics, which requires the implementation of a "closed loop" medication administration system.
