Healthcare Informatics Interviews Parkview Adventist CIO Bill McQuaid

Bill McQuaid, Assistant Vice President and CIO at Parkview Adventist Medical Center (Brunswick, Maine) was recently featured in a multi-part interview series by Healthcare Informatics. In the interview, McQuaid discusses what it takes to steer a small hospital toward HIMSS Analytics Stage 6 EMR recognition. Key to their success, says McQuaid, was there decision to go with a single vendor. "I said, I could do this with myself and with a small team, but it has to be one vendor, so that I can use my same good people throughout the whole project."

The vendor: MEDITECH, with LSS and MEDITECH's Medical and Practice Management (MPM) Suite for their affiliated physician practices.
