Administrative Forum Gathers Research for LSS Data Systems' Software Development
February 23, 2010

In December, LSS Data Systems held its 6th bi-annual Administrative Forum, connecting LSS Product Development staff with customers via interactive web conferences conducted over several weeks.

The forum presented opportunities for customers to share insights into their own processes and protocols as well as feedback on upcoming enhancements to the administrative and billing components of the Medical and Practice Management (MPM) product suite.

Customers also shared best practices with one another and discussed recent health care trends and news, such as the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) and ICD-10 implementation. Specific topics covered during the forum included insurance collection, verification and authorization, billing dashboards, BAR Forwarding/Transfer integrations, reporting for "meaningful use" requirements and much more.

"What I found most beneficial about this Administrative Forum was hearing what the other sites had to share," said Rebecca Bryant, Business Systems Analyst at Norton Healthcare. "The different surveys we completed and discussed led to some good dialog too."

LSS Development Analyst Mary Schwarz agreed. "The key to good design is to understand the challenges and goals of the organizations and individuals who use the software everyday. The Administrative Forum helps our designers view the product from that perspective."

LSS is committed to foster customer input through outreach programs like this and many others including the LSS User Group, Provider Development Forum, Customer Service Forum, Ambulatory Products Advisory Council, web-based Feedback Portals and more.
