LSS Announces New Regional Service and Sales Model

In a move to leverage regional similarities among customers, enhance service delivery and prepare customers for Meaningful Use, LSS Data Systems is establishing a new regional service model and realigning its Billing and Clinical Service groups into a single Client Services division.

"From state-specific billing requirements and electronic submission guidelines, to immunization registries and Regional Health Information Organizations, the regionalization of our service model is a recognition of the larger trends in the healthcare industry as a whole," said Bill Schmidt, Vice President of the newly formed Client Services division. "By regionalizing our service teams and bringing our billing and clinical specialists under the same management, we will help meet our customers' needs not only at the specific product or module level, but at the organizational level, which includes helping them reach Meaningful Use."

As part of this transition, Implementation will be more closely aligned with Development to help streamline the deployment of new functionality associated with ARRA requirements. In addition, LSS is establishing a sales group dedicated to existing customers, and service and sales staff will be working with customers on an individual basis to help them reach Meaningful Use.

"A sales team focused on our existing customers will provide another channel for communication," said Matt Giles, Director of Existing Sales, whose staff will focus on existing LSS customers. "Our group is committed to strengthening our relationships with customers, understanding their organizational needs and working with them and their specialists to support their healthcare IT strategy, including their preparations for the ARRA."
 
The target date for completion of these organizational changes is April 1. LSS specialists have already begun working with their contacts at customer sites to help ensure a smooth transition.
