The unique integration of the MEDITECH and LSS software puts your organization in a great position to report on data across the enterprise. This isn't simply reporting on individual clinics or hospitals, but reporting on aggregate data from the entire health care enterprise. By fully utilizing MPM, organizations can collect data from a variety of processes including physician documentation, lab results, medications, vital signs, allergies, patient financial accounts, and scheduling and registration. These various discrete data elements are able to be organized and analyzed by organizations through the reporting features of MPM.

Clinical Reporting
In the Client/Server and 6.0 platforms, clinical reports can be created to meet the needs of organizations. These reports can be easily configured to include or exclude criteria such as lab results, vitals, documentation queries, age, and insurance payors:

Integration
Medical and Practice Management is fully integrated with the MEDITECH HCIS. The full integration supports additional enterprise level reporting options. Utilizing Data Repository, organizations can generate and analyze information from all care settings within the MEDITECH and LSS HCIS. By making all data from the acute and ambulatory settings accessible, enterprise level reporting is accomplished while still being able to segregate data and differentiate between physician groups, departments, practices, as well as billing databases.

  • The Data Repository employs industry standards such as Microsoft Windows NT® operating system and Microsoft SQL Server® Relational Database Management System
  • Common identifiers used between LSS and MEDITECH for indexing and cross-referencing information
  • Continuous or batch transfer of data to the Data Repository for real-time reporting

Custom Reports
Clinical and Financial reports can be quickly and easily created using selection reports. Clinical and financial selection reports allow users to define particular criteria to configure the most appropriate report. In addition, Medical and Practice Management allows the use of MEDITECH's Report Writer tool to create powerful custom reports within the system. Users have the ability to define the content of reports, incorporating information captured through any field within the MEDITECH and LSS system, including customer-defined screens. Users can determine a specific sort method as well as limit the report to certain selection criteria such as department, location, and range of values. Moreover, the output format, including the spacing and alignment of columns can also be defined to the organization's preference.

The benefit Medisolv provides is their ability to build robust reports for an organization. Medisolv has experience understanding the MEDITECH and LSS programming language, how the SQL tables are defined, the specific items within Data Repository, and have effectively used this knowledge to configure their reporting options.
